About David Wood

David Wood (1766-c. 1850) was a Clockmaker who opened his shop in Newburyport Massachusetts in 1792. Very little is know about Wood. He appears to have been active until at least 1824 the year in which his last advertisement appeared. It is also known that Wood, for a time, was a sale agent for Simon Willard but there is not information as to how long that relationship lasted. There is also no documentation indicating who would have made the case for the Shelf Clock in this article.
