Saw Filing Seminar Report
« on: March 28, 2009, 11:42:35 PM »
The SAPFM MN saw filing seminar was a great success. We met at Mike Siemsen's School of Woodworking where Dean Jansa did a wonderful job of guiding 11 of us through the process of filing a saw. With his giant wooden saw and file to aid in the demonstration he covered saw filing well enough that everyone went away with a sharp saw. There was sawdust flying as people tested their newly sharpened saws and tried out others that were on hand. We started up at 8 with coffee and coffee cake and ended up around 1 with beer and some great chili made by John. An excellent day spent with a great group of people. Thanks to Dean for a his thorough demonstration and for picking up the files (thank you too  Mr. Wenzloff for allowing him to use your filing printout). Thanks to John Walkowiak for some tasty chili and a tip of the hat too to Rich Gotz for the photos.
