Nickles & Stone furniture
« on: August 15, 2008, 03:13:02 PM »
FYI:  A furniture rep came into our store today.  He said that Stickley Furniture Co. bought out Nickles & Stone Furniture Co.  They then closed the mfg. plant (about 6 months ago) and are having all the furniture now made overseas, he thought Viet Nam.

He also told me that labor cost in China are rising fast. And with the falling US dollar all furniture made in China is costing much more in the USA, 15-20% increase each year.  Pretty soon our hand made American furniture will be cheaper than the junk made overseas!

I was thrilled to hear this.
