Tidewater Chapter Fall 2019 Meeting: A Day at Hope

We will be meeting November 2nd at Historic Hope Plantation (http://www.hopeplantation.org). Plans are still in the works for the presenters but we will have a full schedule which includes a behind scenes tour of the mansion. As soon as we firm up the plans, i will post updates here.

Good evening,[/size]   Here are details (so far) we are working with for Nov 2.Location: Historic Hope Plantation, Winfall, NCLunch will be from Firehouse SubsPresenters/events:Ed Rawls: Hope PlantationMatt Hobbs: General discussion on building a federal porch with focus on reproducing columnsJim Francis: Drawing and Carving a volute, Spicebox hidden drawer optionBarry Daniel: Comparison of Roanoke River Chair to one from Hope.Andrew Ownbey:  Finish repair and veneer repairtended tour of the mansion and King-Bazemore house.Time: promptly start at 9. End around 5.Cost $25 (includes lunch, snacks, and tours)Final RSVPs will be on Sep 30. I’ll need to let the sandwich folks know. Thank you.
