Chippendale Dressing Table CLASS DESCRIPTION
===============================

A class on carving an 18th Century Philadelphia Chippendale Dressing Table is being offered in 2015.   The class will be taught by Al Breed and it will be held in Eagan, MN.  It will consist of three (3) 2.5-day sessions with the price $650/session (Total $1950.)

The sessions will be:
    1.  3 - 5 May 2015    (Sat - Mon)
    2.  8 - 10 Aug 2015    (Sat - Mon)
    3.  2 - 4 Oct 2015     (Sat - Mon)

We will be reproducing the original that is attributed to the Garvan Carver and is in a museum.  It has ball and claw feet and carving on the usual elements, front skirt, knee and central drawer front.  In addition it has carving on the side boards, quarter columns and the top perimeter.  It also has a dentil molding detail underneath the top.

As is always the case with a high end project like this it is highly unlikely that anyone will finish it in class.  The goal of the class is to present enough information so that the serious student can finish it at home.  The way to think about this class is that it is a graduate seminar and not a step by step introductory class.  The reason for saying this is to set expectations appropriately.

If you sign up for the class my expectation is that you are financially committing to all three sessions.

To sign up for the class please send me a $100 deposit for the first session.

If the class is canceled you will receive a full refund of any deposit.

If you have any questions please contact me via email at apk@uwalumni.com.  I want to make sure that we are on the same page in terms of what is being offered so that there is minimal chance for confusion or disappointment.

Joe,

I tried to post larger ones, but it only allows four images and a total of 164KB. If you send me your email address I will forward larger ones to you.  Send me email at apk@uwalumni.com.
