Minneapolis Institute of Arts Furniture Tour
« on: December 24, 2011, 12:46:18 PM »
Hey all!
I have set up a tour of the furniture collection with the curator at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts for Thursday evening Jan 12th, 6-8pm. You can go to this url to see some of the pieces in the collection
http://www.artsmia.org/search/index.php?term=american+furniture
If there is a piece in the collection that you would like some more information on or some details or possibly photos we will see what we can do.
We will also be discussing things we could do with the museum, demonstrations or possibly a symposium(we would assist) so I am looking for ideas in that regard.
Save the date!!

We enjoyed a great tour of The Minneapolis Institute of Art lead by curator Cori Wegener. We were able to have her pull a few drawers out and get close enough to see a few construction details. It is our goal to get in and measure a few pieces for reproduction at some later date.
