Greetings all!
We had a good turn out of members at the fall show. We scheduled several demonstrations during the day and had members bring in things they were working on to keep busy through the day. This enables you to do a show and get some work done at the same time. Jim Van Hoven http://periodwindsors.com/, John Walkowiak, Tony Kubalak http://www.tonykubalak.com/, and Mike Siemsen http://schoolofwood.com/ http://www.greenlakeclock.com/ were on hand all three days as well as guest carver Jock Holmenhttp://norwegiantermite.com/.
Bart Genovese http://bmgfinefurniture.com/ and Dick Cortright demonstrated on Friday and new member Jerry Dahl stopped by for a chat.
Mike Torison http://mtfinefurniture.com/, Kevin Alto, Joel Ficke and Tom Dengler were on hand Saturday and Dean Jansa demonstrated sticking moldings with hand planes on Sunday. We were also visited by new member Adrian Bileydi-Lee.
We held our Quarterly meeting on Saturday with some great raffle items donated by Woodline http://www.woodline.com/default.aspx they generously donated 2 urethane carving mallets and a set of chisels for us to give away to our members. I won a mallet as did Joel Ficke and Tom Dengler got the chisels.
We decided our next meeting was January 17th at Mike Siemsen's shop in Chisago City at 9:00 with Tom Dengler demonstrating some green woodworking techniques.  Mike Torison plans to bring his completed small clock case to show. Bart Genovese volunteered to head up field trip planning. It was a good show and we plan to do it again.
Mike
