9a.m. Saturday morning eight members arrived for our opem meeting.  Our moderator John Jessup gave us a run down on what he has planned for this fall in his shop.  He will post a email to the membership later this summer.   Mike Weber brought his spice box (in the white) and we were all inpressed with his construction and  and string inlay.  He also gave us a interesting method of cutting dovetails on the bandsaw and router table using home made jigs.  We had a indepth disscussion of trying to find a place for our meetings that we could call "home" in order to start a lending library for vidios dvds, and books on period furniture making etc.  We also want to start a  series  on   hand  tool use and care of hand tools to improve our hand skills and relearn some of the forgotten methods of work.   Well it got to be 12:30 real quick and we closed the meeting . Some headed home and some of us went to lunch and then home.  Great meeting....    Tom
