Brian Weldy, Workshop Coordinator at the North Bennet Street School, has agreed to become Program Chair for the New England Chapter of the Society of Period Furniture Makers.  He welcomes your ideas and help on future programs.  He can be reached at 617-773-2511 or  bcweldy@comcast.net.  Brian has also agreed to lead the June 21 meeting in place of Earl Powell who will be attending the Furniture Society Conference in Victoria, BC.

Before attending North Bennet Street School, Brian worked as Scene Shop foreman at Hartford Stage Company.  After graduating from NBSS in 2001, he went to work at Plimoth Plantation. During that time, Brian also taught workshops with the workshop program. After leaving Plimoth, he became the NBSS workshop shop coordinator, responsible for organizing workshop facilities and supporting workshops.

REMINDER:  A meeting of the New England Chapter of the Society will be held on Thursday, June 21, at Woodcraft Supply, 313 Montvale Avenue, Woburn MA.  The social hour will run from 5:30 to 6:15 pm, followed by a brief business meeting and discussion of programming for next year.

From 6:45 to 8:45 pm Michael Wheeler, owner of Tomorrow's Antiques in Boston, MA and instructor at Woodcraft Supply, will give an overview of inlay techniques and show period samples.  This will be followed by a demonstration of Federal Period inlays including stringing, ovals and bell flowers.

Woodcraft Supply is located on the left, a short distance west from I-93 Exit 36 in Woburn, MA.
