After getting lots of suggests and finally making my own, I tried to post a picture on the old system of my workbench storage.  Here is a try on the new system...

Nice work, Martin. I could use something like that. Do your bench dogs bottom out on the top of the cabinet?

The only thing I do not like about the bench is they drilled the dog holes directly over the streachers, so they bottom out on that, not the cabinet.  (Which allows for some storeage on top of the cabinet I suppose)

PS. I cheated and used the Blum Metabox drawer slides, kinda neat in that the slides are the sides.

Martin, How would you hold a table leaf to cut the mortises for the alignment tenons in a bench like this? Could you rest the leaf on a drawer? I am envious of your drawer arrangement. How is it holding up after 6 years? What might you do different today?

Jeff,
Holding up well, however remember I do not use it 40 hours a week.  I need to build one of the things that slide along the bench (in front of the drawers) to hold things.  I used to keep my hand planes in the drawers, but to often I would have a board clamped and then could not open the drawer to get a plane.  But to answer your question, I would go it again.  Oh, I also added felt to the sides so chisels will not hit the metal sides.
