The Lone Star chapter was invited by Bayou Bend to demonstrate 18th century woodworking on, Sunday,  February 18,  2007 at "Family Day Open House" on the grounds of Bayou Bend.  The weather was absolutely beautiful and we drew quite a crowd.

The stars of the demonstrations were Malcolm Granberry and Jim Thompson.  Malcolm showed the visitors how to carve a ball and claw foot while Jim worked on his shave horse making windsor chairs.  Others who participated were Eric Johnstone, Gerry Shoemaker, and Norman Landry.

This was a great opportunity to showcase our chapter and we had a great time doing it!  Next year we plan to do the demos in period dress.
