SAPFM How do you create the story stick?
HEADLEY Since I had the original chest to go by the story stick is more for reference.
SAPFM How do you use the story stick when making the pieces and do you
also draw up plans?
HEADLEY I don’t make plans. Sometimes I will sketch
out something and jot down a few measurements. Most times the plans are
in my head.
I am always looking ahead when building a piece.
I think out the
process so as to ensure that I never reach a point where I have to wait
until I can start the next step. Idle hands are not good for the pocketbook.
