Q. What types of wood do you use for your inlay?
A. I use satinwood (Brazilian), ebony and black dyed Costello.
Q. What type of glue do you use?
A. I use white glue but only for making the inlays, for everything else I use
hide glue.

Q. How do you clamp the inlay for glue up?
A. I clamp the inlays between two boards that I have applied packing tape
to, to keep the inlays from sticking. I use as many clamps as needed to achieve a spacing of no more than 2-3 inches between clamps.

Q. What type of blade are you using on your band saw?
A. I'm using a Delta Bench Top saw. These have very thin blades, giving me more usable inlays.

Q. How thick do you cut the inlay?
A. Some where between 1/32" and 1/16".

Q. What style of inlay is this?
A. This is a checker board inlay.
