Clamping the Case

This is the case being clamped up.

Q. What material do you use for the back of the clock?
A.  I used a full width clear pine board.


Q.  How is it attached?
A.  It is hinged and secured with a hook and eye fastener. I used this approach based on plate 3336 in Wallace Nutting's Furniture Treasury.
